Original empirical and/or theoretical research articles
The current issue of Revista Enfoques brings together research on political philosophy, social conflict, and public administration in Latin America. It addresses topics ranging from Adam Smith’s critique of the “man of system” and the relationship between commerce and virtue in Adam Ferguson, to intractable conflicts in the Chilean–Mapuche context and the impact of constitutional justice on the public employment system in Costa Rica. It also examines the service-delivery capacity of Argentine municipalities during the Covid‑19 pandemic and discusses the (in)theoretical consequences of Laclauian populism, integrating historical, ethical, and political perspectives on the challenges of governance in the region.
