Abstract
Este artículo brinda una visión sinóptica de la concepción realista de la política, desde una perspectiva que es simultáneamente filosófica, politológica e histórica. Por cierto, el articulista intenta dar respuesta a la pregunta de qué se entiende por realismo político, y para cumplir con tal propósito explica, analiza y critica la respuesta que Hans Morgenthau dio a dicha interrogante. Finalmente, en su parte conclusiva distingue dos dimensiones del realismo político y propone algunos criterios para construir un concepto del mismo.
