Abstract
Este artículo analiza la evolución del sector público en Ecuador desde 1998 a 2013. Para el estudio se consideran las instituciones y gasto público de los períodos anteriormente señalados como variables de análisis. Se investiga si la Constitución de la República del Ecuador (2008), propuesta por el actual presidente Rafael Correa, incide en esta evolución.
