Abstract
En este artículo, se examina la delicada relación que se da entre política interna, política exterior y opinión pública mediante un análisis de los principales acontecimientos que se han manifestado en el contexto español de la fase franquista a la segunda magistratura de Zapatero. A través de la reconstrucción histórica y politológica y el aporte de datos, se ha buscado hacer una reflexión sobre un sistema que ha sido sometido a profundas transformaciones y que, en breve tiempo, ha acercado a España a las otras naciones europeas, colocándola en un estatus de mediana potencia a nivel internacional. Pero, ¿la opinión pública española siempre ha aceptado las medidas en política exterior de sus líderes?
