¿Neoliberalismo o neoestructuralismo? El modelo económico de la Concertación chilena en disputa

Abstract
Este ensayo examina el modelo económico de la Concertación de Partidos por la Democracia (1990-2010) en Chile, argumentando que no significó una ruptura con el neoliberalismo, sino su reformulación democrática en una tercera ola caracterizada por estabilidad macroeconómica, políticas sociales focalizadas y legitimidad tecnocrática. A partir de un análisis histórico-institucional y comparado, se concluye que la noción de neoliberalismo de tercera ola explica mejor la trayectoria chilena que el neoestructuralismo puro, pues reconoce la capacidad del modelo para integrar elementos de equidad sin alterar su lógica de mercado. Finalmente, se interpreta el estallido social de 2019 como síntoma del agotamiento de este equilibrio y se plantea la necesidad de avanzar hacia alternativas posneoliberales que combinen justicia social, diversificación productiva y estabilidad democrática.
