Abstract
El artículo busca analizar el Documento de la Política Exterior de la República Popular de China hacia América Latina y el Caribe, y cómo esta tiene elementos sustanciales que pueden constituir un caso manifiesto de aplicación del concepto de smart power. A su vez se analiza cómo deben matizarse los postulados de dicho documento de conformidad con las múltiples relaciones existentes entre China y los países de América Latina y el Caribe, y las manifestaciones propias de la política exterior china.
