Abstract
La política exterior de la post-Guerra Fría en Chile, coincide plenamente con el ciclo de los gobiernos de la Concertación de Partidos por la Democracia. El retorno a la democracia significó la mantención e incremento de la variable comercial pero también la recuperación del prestigio y la normalización del rol nacional en los foros internacionales. En el marco del Regionalismo Abierto, el Presidente Ricardo Lagos Escobar (2000-06), afianzó un modelo de inserción en base a dos ejes articuladores, el de la concertación política y el de la profundización de la integración económico-comercial de Chile con el mundo.
